Coming in November!
"Doing the Work of Justice" Discussion Group to Form
In the aftermath of the recent viloence, the demands of justice continue to press heavily upon us.
Starting in November, Father Steve will leade a Zoom discussion on the writings and videos of the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II. This charismatic and deeply prophetic leader and pastor (Greenleaf Christian Church/Disciples of Christ in Goldsboro, NC) is heir to the mantle of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and is currently leading the Poor People’s Campaign.
Bishop Barber’s recent book, We Are Called To Be A Movement, was recently published and it is a gem. It is a very short volume, available in paperback for $8.95, and it is both deeply scriptural and highly practical. Bishop Barber's insights, witness, and prophetic vision are ideal for followers of of Jesus who are currently looking for guidance on how to come together to do the vital work of justice in our struggling, suffering world.
In keeping with new guidelines in the State of Maryland, we welcome anyone who wishes to attend Mass with us at our beautiful church, co-located with St. Mark's Episcopal Church at 1620 Reisterstown Rd. in Pikesville, MD.
The church is spacious and can easily accommodate 50 people while still managing appropriate spatial distancing. There are also several hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the building.
Mass is at 6:00 PM.
In addition, we will continue live streaming Sunday Mass using Facebook Live on our Parish Facebook Page, on our YouTube Channel or Vimeo page!
Anyone who has been remote and who would like to receive communion or go to confession, please contact us and we will arrange to bring the Eucharist to you.
